The
Art & Writing Sustainability Challenge
Using your creativity to portray sustainability.
The Art & Writing Sustainability Challenge encourages the integration of sustainability within the creation or topicality of art or writing. Projects that were created in a sustainable fashion (ex: with upcycled materials) or that depict important concepts in sustainability (ex: a detailed, artistic, and creative depiction of how agricultural runoff leads to eutrophication) and written pieces on the topic of sustainability are eligible for the Art & Writing Sustainability Challenge.
The Youth Sustainability Challenge (YSC) is an opportunity for elementary and middle school students (rising 5th graders through rising 9th graders) to showcase their passion for environmental stewardship through art and science.

The Science Sustainability Challenge

The Science Sustainability Challenge (SSC) encourages students to explore the intersection of sustainability with all fields of science. Sustainability can be applied to fields ranging from biology to engineering, and any scientific or engineering projects that address sustainability are eligible for the Science Sustainability Challenge (ex: a project investigating the relationship between a particular fertilizer and algal growth in pond water).
Now we accept hypothetical projects for SSC. Read more by clicking the button below.
